Savannah Votion named host of ‘Women of Tejano Wednesdays’ radio show

The award-winning singer will host the radio show focused on music and interviews with fierce femmes of Tejano

Award-winning singer Savannah Votion has been named the new host of the “Women of Tejano Wednesdays” radio show on Lopez Broadcasting Tejano radio station KLMO 98.9 & 92.1 FM in San Antonio, Texas.

The show, which airs each Wednesday from 7-9 pm, focuses on music from female artists of the Tejano music industry including interviews.

Votion, known professionally as Savannah V, has been a part of KLMO-FM since 2020. Her bubbly personality and unique presence have gained her fans from all over the world. She has captivated many listeners and has created a wave in the Tejano industry with her music, winning a Tejano Music Award for Video of the Year with “Loca Peligrosa” featuring Gabriel Zavala in 2019.

A radio interview promoting her music turned into a new career for the San Antonio singer and former American Idol Season 12 contestant.

“During COVID, I had the most hardest time, not being able to perform,” said Savannah. “I had an interview with Bigg Boyee at KLMO and the next week had a job! I’m truly grateful of all my mentors who have guided me along the way.”

The interview with KLMO morning show host Bigg Boyee turned into her own radio show, “The Savannah V Show,” that began on Tuesday nights from 6-8 pm on the Tejano radio station in June 2020.

Votion takes over hosting duties from Tori Escamilla (Tori E), who will continue to host her “Chicana Chisme” Podcast.
