Tejano singer Isabel Marie Sanchez is set to take center stage on May 8, 2026, at the prestigious Grammy Hall of Fame Gala in Los Angeles, where she will perform a special tribute honoring the late Selena and the induction of the iconic 1994 album Amor Prohibido into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
The annual ceremony will be held at the The Beverly Hilton and hosted by Anthony Mason. Isabel Marie joins an impressive lineup of performers and honorees that includes Norah Jones, who will receive the Ray Charles Architect of Sound Award, along with legendary acts George Clinton, Heart, Lucinda Williams, and Take 6. The gala will also honor Warner Records as the recipient of the 2026 Visionary of Music Award.

The induction of Amor Prohibido marks another historic milestone for Selena’s enduring legacy. The groundbreaking album became the first Tejano record to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and remains one of the most influential Latin music releases of all time. It is one of 14 recordings selected for the 2026 Grammy Hall of Fame class alongside works from artists including 2Pac, Janet Jackson, and Radiohead.
Isabel Marie shared her excitement about participating in the event on social media.
“What an honor to celebrate the artist who’s inspired me most. I can’t wait and am so grateful to the Quintanilla family and Grammy team for this special moment,” she said.
For Isabel Marie, the tribute carries deep personal significance. The 23-year-old vocalist has long been connected to the Quintanilla family and Selena’s musical legacy. Widely recognized as one of Tejano music’s brightest young stars, Isabel Marie rose to fame as a teen prodigy under the mentorship of Abraham Quintanilla Jr. after he discovered her performing on La Voz Kids and signed her to Q Productions.
During her five years with the label, Isabel Marie became known for officially sanctioned Selena tribute performances, including appearances in “Selena ¡Vive!” productions backed by major symphonies. She later departed Q Productions in 2021 to pursue a more independent musical direction while continuing to expand her reach in Tejano and Latin pop music.
Her growing list of accomplishments includes a 2022 Latin Grammy nomination for Best Tejano Album for her EP Una Ilusión, multiple wins at the Tejano Music Awards, including Best New Female Artist and Female Vocalist of the Year, and becoming the youngest artist ever to place three songs simultaneously in the Top 20 of the Tejano Gold Countdown.
Before her breakout success, Isabel Marie also competed on the legendary Spanish-language television program Sábado Gigante, helping establish her reputation as one of the genre’s most promising young talents.
Now, as she prepares to honor Selena on one of music’s most prestigious stages, Isabel Marie’s appearance at the Grammy Hall of Fame Gala symbolizes a full-circle moment — celebrating the lasting influence of Amor Prohibido while introducing a new generation of Tejano artists carrying the torch forward.
