It has been nearly 20 years since the iconic show band Culturas has released new music. But the wait is finally over. The dynamic duo Dee & Delia are back with a brand new single that will make you want to dance.
Written by Dee Burleson and Delia Gonzales-Silva, “No Te Creas” is a high-energy style cumbia that features both Dee and Delia on vocals. It is a catchy and upbeat tune that showcases the talent and charisma of the two singers.
The new single is the first new song from Delia Y Culturas since their last album, Mundo De Ilusiones, was released in 1999. The song is also the lead single from a planned final album for the award-winning group, which will mark their farewell to the music industry.
Culturas is one of the most distinctive Tejano bands and has a loyal fan base that spans generations. Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 1992, the band has earned numerous awards and accolades, including a gold record for their second album Culture Shock. The album featured major hits such as “Loco, Loco” and “Golpe Traidor.” The band was recognized by the Tejano Music Awards as “Most Promising Band of the Year” in 1993 and as “Show Band of the Year” in 1995.
The band’s career took a turn when Dee Burleson left the group in 1995 to pursue other projects. Delia, meanwhile, faced health challenges that forced her to stop performing with the band in 2008. She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 1996 and underwent a kidney transplant in 2008. Since then, she has chosen a career in nursing and has been an advocate and fundraiser for victims of kidney disease. The duo always dreamed of making music together again.
That dream came true in 2024, when they reunited to record “No Te Creas”. The song is the lead single from their highly-anticpated final album, which is expected to be released later this year.
Dee and Delia are excited to share their new music with their fans, who have been loyal and supportive throughout the years. “No Te Creas” is available now on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the return of Culturas, the dynamic duo that will make you feel alive.
