Two-time Latin Grammy-nominated singer Gabriella Martinez is giving fans a first taste of her highly anticipated new single, “Tienes Suerte,” with a teaser video shared across social media ahead of its Friday, August 28 release.

The Houston-based Tejano and Latin music artist is inviting listeners into a familiar emotional space with “Tienes Suerte,” a song about trying to move on from someone you still love—and discovering that your heart hasn’t quite gotten the message.

The song captures that feeling so many people can relate to: telling yourself you’re done, promising you’re not going to call, and convincing yourself you’re finally moving forward, only to realize your heart has other plans.

At its core, “Tienes Suerte” is about missing someone, still loving them despite everything and realizing just how lucky that person is that your heart hasn’t let go.

The new release continues Gabriella’s rapid rise as one of the most dynamic new voices in Tejano and Latin music.

Originally born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Gabriella is of Colombian, Puerto Rican and Korean heritage. She later relocated to Houston, Texas, to pursue her passion for Tejano music and immerse herself in the genre.

Although she did not grow up fluent in Spanish, Gabriella has quickly established herself as an artist capable of connecting with audiences through her music and performances.

Her accomplishments include consecutive Latin Grammy nominations for Best Tejano Album. Her debut project, Siempre Gabriella, earned a nomination at the 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2024, followed by a second consecutive nomination in 2025 for her six-track EP, Yo No Te Perdí.

Gabriella also made a major mark at the 44th Annual Tejano Music Awards, where she took home awards for Best New Female Artist and Best Music Video, further establishing her as one of the genre’s rising stars.

Musically, Gabriella blends the classic sounds of Tejano—including the accordion and keyboard-driven styles associated with the genre’s celebrated 1980s and 1990s era—with contemporary pop and tropical influences. Her music also incorporates elements of cumbia, ranchera and vallenato, creating a sound that bridges Tejano’s traditions with a modern Latin music sensibility.

With “Tienes Suerte,” Gabriella appears ready to deliver another deeply relatable song centered on love, heartbreak and the emotions that refuse to disappear.
