Tejano Music Awards National Radio Show returns with new host this Fall

Bino G will host the nationally syndicated radio show when it returns this Fall.

The Tejano Music Awards National Radio Show is returning with a new host after the show was placed on a long hiatus. The Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA), producers of the annual Tejano Music Awards, TMA TV, and radio show, announced Bino Gaona (Bino G) will take over hosting duties of the nationally syndicated radio program this Fall.

Bino G commented, “This being the Tejano Music Awards National Radio Show it’s going to have to surpass any other show that’s out there. We’re going to have to format it for all age groups. It’s going to have to capture not only the older generation but also the new generation as well. We have a lot of great things in mind for this show.”

He added there have only been less than a handful of hosts for the show. “It’s an honor and a privilege to have been mentioned to host this show so I’m looking forward to it,” he said.

The one-hour program, which features “the hottest hits from award winners of today, yesterday, and tomorrow,” was placed on hiatus in 2019 when host Bobby Lopez was not able to host the show after health issues. The 2017 Texas Radio Hall of Fame inductee and longtime voice of the Tejano Music Awards passed away earlier this year.

The program will feature music, interviews, and trending news from Tejano Nation. Radio stations and the premiere date for the Tejano Music Awards National Radio Show will be announced soon as well as other big media partners in the Tejano industry.

Bino G concluded, “I think we need to unite and make this show, not mine, but we need to unite and make it everybody’s show.”
