Devin Banda celebrates love during the Christmas season in her new video “Marry Me Christmas,” released on Thursday.
The video features the 20-year-old singer anticipating her on-screen boyfriend, played by 2015 Tejano Music Awards nominee Juaquín Cura, to get down on one knee and propose marriage on Christmas. Banda and Cura announced an upcoming duet at the 2015 Tejano Music Awards in October, no release date has been set for the duet.
The visual for “Marry Me Christmas” is directed and edited by the talented Ryan Bazan, who directed Banda’s previous two videos “Yo Te Dije” and “Si Pudiera Regresar.” The video was shot at Santa’s Ranch in San Marcos, Texas, and at locations throughout the San Antonio area.
“Marry Me Christmas” was co-written by Banda and Warbucks Music Group President Randy Saenz. The song, produced by Mario Ortiz, is the first single for Banda under the Warbucks label.
“Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year,” Banda told Tejano Nation. “Being that it is a religious holiday and everyone shows so much love during this season! I hope this song helps you celebrate this beautiful holiday!”
This Christmas is a very special one for Banda, it’s her first Christmas after announcing her engagement to La Mafia guitarist Viktor Pacheko in September.
