A.B. Quintanilla III is responding to a public statement from his mother, Marcella Quintanilla, and sister, Suzette Quintanilla, in which the two questioned the existence of an alleged lawsuit involving Suzette and strongly denied accusations of theft or financial misconduct.

In a new statement shared publicly, A.B. directly disputed their account, insisting that he does not lie and claiming that Suzette and her attorneys were notified of the legal action through certified mail and electronic mail.

“I DON’T LIE”

A.B.’s response comes after Marcella and Suzette released a joint statement addressing what they called “serious and false insinuations” concerning Suzette, the late Abraham Quintanilla and their family.

A.B. Says Suzette Was Notified of Lawsuit

A.B. directly challenged the Quintanillas’ assertion that no lawsuit involving Suzette could be located in available public records.

According to A.B., Suzette and her lawyers were notified of the legal action through certified mail and electronic mail.

”Suzette and her lawyers were notified with the corresponding documents via certified mail and electronic mail.”

A.B. said the alleged lawsuit concerns what he describes as Suzette’s fiduciary duties—legal obligations he says require her to act with loyalty, transparency and in the best interests of the people or entities to whom she has responsibilities.

”She was notified of a lawsuit related to her fiduciary duties, that is, her legal obligations to act with loyalty, transparency, and in the best interests of those she was responsible to.”

A.B. did not provide additional details about the court, jurisdiction, case number or specific legal claims in the statement.

A.B. Claims Requested Financial Documents Were Not Provided

A.B. also claims that Suzette responded after receiving notification but did not provide the information he says was being requested.

According to his statement, the requested materials included contracts, documentation and financial information.

”She responded, but did not provide what was being requested: contracts, documentation, and financial information.”

A.B. characterized those materials as “fundamental requirements” and said they remained unanswered.

At this point, the specific documents requested, the response from Suzette or her attorneys, and the legal basis for those requests have not been independently established in the information publicly provided by either side.

Dispute Over Abraham Quintanilla’s Role

A.B.’s statement also responds to comments from Marcella and Suzette regarding their late husband and father, Abraham Quintanilla.

In their earlier statement, Marcella and Suzette said they were unaware of wrongdoing by Abraham that would support what they believed A.B. appeared to be suggesting about his father.

They also challenged A.B. to provide evidence if he was alleging that Suzette had stolen or misappropriated money or property.

“If A.B. has evidence that Suzette stole or misappropriated anything, he should present it.”

They further said that any allegations involving Abraham should be clearly identified rather than left open to public speculation about a man who is no longer alive to respond.

Quintanillas Previously Denied Theft Allegations

The latest exchange follows Marcella and Suzette’s categorical denial of allegations or insinuations that Suzette improperly took money or property.

In their statement, the mother and daughter said Suzette has not stolen, misappropriated or improperly taken money or property belonging to A.B., Abraham, Marcella, Chris Pérez, Selena’s estate or any family-owned or jointly owned business.

They also addressed speculation involving Selena’s personal belongings.

Marcella and Suzette stated that Suzette is not selling and has no intention of selling Selena’s personal belongings. They said any potential sale involving an ownership interest in a company would be separate from Selena’s personal items.

A.B.’s latest statement does not specifically address the claim regarding Selena’s personal belongings.

A.B. Says More Details Will Be Revealed Friday

A.B. ended his statement by saying his attorney will publicly address the matter later this week.

”This Friday, my lawyer will speak out and many things will be made clear.”

That planned statement could provide additional information about the alleged legal action, including the nature of the claims, the parties involved, the documents allegedly sent to Suzette and her attorneys, and whether a formal court case has been filed.

A Public Family Dispute Continues

The exchange marks another public development in an increasingly visible dispute involving members of the Quintanilla family.

Marcella and Suzette have said they do not want to attack or humiliate A.B. or “litigate decades of family history through social media.” They emphasized that they love A.B., describing him as their son and brother, but said family ties do not require them to remain silent over what they believe are false accusations.

A.B., meanwhile, is maintaining that Suzette was formally notified of legal action and that his concerns involve fiduciary responsibilities and access to contracts, documentation and financial information.

The two sides therefore remain sharply divided over the central question raised by the dispute: whether formal legal action involving Suzette exists and, if so, what claims and documents are associated with it.

At the time of publication, the competing statements provide different accounts of the matter. Tejano Nation will continue to follow the story as additional documentation or statements become available.
