Lopez Broadcasting owned Tejano radio station Magic 95.9 is known to play the hottest hits of the genre. But did you know that Majic 95.9 is also a champion of social causes, especially when it comes to helping the less fortunate families in the Victoria community during Thanksgiving?
That’s right, Majic 95.9 is getting ready for its 20th Annual Turkey Drive, a tradition that started two decades ago and has been going strong ever since. Every year, the radio station partners with local businesses and Tejano artists to collect and distribute turkeys and other food items to families in need.
The giveaway is on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 6 pm in the Victoria Community Center parking lot located at 2905 East North Street. All you have to do is show up with your ID and proof of residence, and you will receive a free turkey and a bag of groceries, while supplies last.
But that’s not all. You will also get to meet and greet some of the best Tejano artists in the industry, such as 2023 Tejano Music Awards Entertainer of the Year Ricardo Castillon, Los Amigos ASG, and more to be announced. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, meet your favorite artists, and celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving.
Magic 95.9 Program Director Lilo Arguellez commented, “Thank you and God bless from the Lopez family and Majic 95.9 staff. We hope to see you at the 20th Annual Turkey Drive and wish you a happy and safe Thanksgiving.”
If you find it in your heart to help with the cause to feed the less fortunate of the community during the Thanksgiving holiday. You can donate money, food, or volunteer your time by calling the Majic 95.9 office at 361-575-9533 or 361-575-9509. Every little bit counts and makes a difference.
