Elida Reyna, Lucky Joe, Stefani Montiel and Anjelique lead the nominations with four each for the 39th annual Tejano Music Awards announced on Wednesday.
Elida Reyna and Stefani Montiel received nominations in the same four categories. Reyna was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year with “Colores,” Song of the Year with “Suavemente” and Collaboration of the Year for “Desechable” featuring Lucky Joe.
Montiel received her four nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year for “Amor Supernatural,” Song of the Year with “La Comadre” and Collaboration of the Year with “Sol, Arena, Ron Y Mar” featuring Gabriel Zavala and DJ Kane.
Lucky Joe’s four nominations included Male Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year for “Tu Principe,” Song of the Year with his album’s title track and Collaboration of the Year for “Desechable” featuring Elida Reyna.
Anjelique received four nominations including Best New Female Artist, Best New Group with her Sweet City Band, Collaboration of the Year for “Yo Te Extrañaré” with Shelly Lares, and Video of the Year for “Amigos.”
Multiple nominees include late Tejano icon Jimmy Gonzalez with three nominations. Michael Salgado, Shelly Lares, Veronique Medrano, Sarah Monique, Ricky Guzman III, Tristan Ramos, Daniel Lopez , Gabriel Zavala and Carlos Rodriguez of Carlos Y Los Cachorros all had two nominations.

Winners will be announced during the 39th annual Tejano Music Awards and Dance on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas. The “Biggest Night In Tejano Music” will feature performances from Shelly Lares, Stefani Montiel, Isabel Marie Sanchez, Ruben Ramos, Tortilla Factory and more. Ram Herrera, David Farias and Sunny Sauceda were the first artists announced to perform at “The Biggest Night in Tejano Music” for the dance. Comedian Raymond Orta was announced as host in August.
