Aisha Aparicio released her solo debut single, “Poquito A Poco,” on Friday (May 6).
The back-up vocalist for Stephanie Lynn, Oscar G., Savannah Votion, Sarah Monique and more, serves up her first single as a solo artist, a remake of Stefani Montiel’s 1994 hit.
The track is produced by award-winning hitmaker Gabriel Zavala.
“I was thrilled that she wanted to remake a Stefani Montiel classic,” Zavala said. “Now that Aisha has an updated version with accordion and bajo sexto, I’m sure it will be a hit.”
Aisha shared her excitement about working with Zavala on this song.
“I had the honor and privilege of working with him once again and I hope everyone enjoys my rendition of this song with a little Zavala flavor,” Aisha posted on Facebook. “Thank you Stefani and Gabe for being so open in allowing me to choose this beautiful song to record as my first single as a solo artist.”
Aisha is currently in the studio working on her first original single with Zavala and plan to release that soon, but for now enjoy Aisha’s take on “Poquito A Poco,” which will be available on every digital outlet this week.
