Sarah Monique released the first single, “Volar,” from her upcoming debut album with new record label Avalos Recording Group (ARG).
“The song is the story of a person in a relationship trying to figure out where they went wrong, that caused the relationship to fall apart.” Sarah Monique told Tejano Nation. “It’s a mixture of confusion and accepting that the other person in the relationship is truly done and wants to walk away in this case ‘Volar,’ meaning to fly away.”
“Volar” was written by Juan Villarreal and produced by Eric “E-Rock” Avalos for ARG.
“Every artist has that hope that each song they create and bring to life will be a song that the fans would love and enjoy,” the singer said. “When I heard and agreed to record ‘Volar’, I automatically thought of my fans. ‘Would it be a song I would dance to? Would it be a song they would dance to? Is it a song they would relate to? And most importantly Does it have that true Tejano sound I grew up listening to?’ The answer to each question was, ‘Yes’ and that already told me it would be a success. I knew this song would relate to so many people.”
Sarah Monique, the nominee for Best New Female Artist at Tejano Music Awards in 2014, is currently recording her second album, Regresa, her first with new record label ARG, that she signed with recently.
“I’m very fortunate and blessed to be working with such a dedicated and hard working team.” said the singer. “They are working extremely hard to make my dream come true.”
Future plans for Sarah Monique consists of touring, continue singing amazing music, and keeping her fans happy.
“With God, ARG, and Chavalos Music Inc, by my side,” Sarah Monique said. “I know that’s not going to be a problem!”
