TUCSON, AZ – Singer Noemy Esparza talked with Tejano Nation contributor Fanny Gurl and Hector Youtsey in a live studio interview a KPYT 100.3 FM in Tucson, Arizona on Friday (February 26). The singer then gave a live studio interview with DJ Peaches from Tejanos Best later on that day.
Esparza is a native of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and is a daughter to immigrant parents from the State of Chihuahua, Mexico. She is very proud of her roots, Noemy’s tribal fringe the feather and face painting since the beginning of her music career reflects the New Mexico Yaqui Culture. Her passion for music started at a very young age, at the age of 14 she performed on a stage for the very first time for her junior high school talent show. She sang “The Rose” by famous singer/actress Bette Midler. She remembers being real nervous and her voice being shaky, but that didn’t stop her.
Noemy began singing mariachi and joined her high school choir. She recorded her first album when she was 17 years old while attending New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M. She minored in Music with an emphasis on Voice and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Noemy then moved to the State of Texas where she worked as a Computer Programmer. Her all time dream was to sign a contract and become part of one of the largest Latin recording labels at the time, Fonovisa. It was after she released her second album when one of her dreams came true and landed a recording contract with Fonovisa.
Noemy released her first album with Fonovisa titled Eternamente in 1998 with such hits such as “Mentiras”, “Dimelo”, and “Besame” the latter two being her own compositions. This album was very successful in the radio industry and the press. Two of her singles reached the National Top 30 of the Latin Board Charts. She was awarded a Gold Record for the high sales of this album. Noemy’s second self-titled album, Noemy, spawned the successful hits “Asi Fue”, “Amor No Me Ignores”, “El Botas Locas”,”Encadenada”,the latter two also being of her own compositions. There were more successful releases such as “Armando Suenos Y Esperansas”, “Aunque Me Duela El Corazon” and “Desnuda”.
Noemy has performed all over the world including Mexico, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, and the USA. She has been featured on television shows such as Johnny Canales, De Todo Un Poco, Orale Primo, Caliente, Un Nuevo Dia and Buenos Dias. Noemy has shared the stage with famous international bands including Los Tigres Del Norte, Limite, Intocable, Bronco, Conjunto Primavera, Ana Barbara, Elida Reyna, Stefani Montiel, Michael Salgado and many more.
Noemy dedicates her most recent album, Fronteras, produced by herself, to all the people who strive daily to make a better life for themselves and their families. This album consists of six covers and six original songs.

Noemy Esparza is scheduled to perform at the Tejano Music Fan Fair on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the San Saba North Stage at 1:30pm and the San Saba South Stage at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20. Autograph sessions are scheduled for March 19 at 3:00 p.m. and March 20 at 1:00 p.m.
