Ray Ray de Los Agues released the official video for his latest single, “En El Aire Te Acompanare,” on Friday. The video was directed by Meant to Be Productions and produced by Ryan Bazan. The visual was shot on location at 210 Kapone’s in San Antonio, Texas.
“Thank you for being so patient with me, waiting for my world premiere video,” Ray Ray told his fans. “A song I wrote for my mother, I hope you enjoy it. Please share it, make it go viral.”
The song, composed by Ray Ray, is from his solo debut album No Se Como Fue. The album, dedicated to his father, Humberto Quintanilla Garcia, is expected to be a success with this new progressive Conjunto sound.
Growing up in the talented musical family Los Agues meant that Ray Ray was always surrounded by music. Los Agues were a romantic trio made up of a father and his five sons. Their unique and hypnotic style earned them many awards including Pura Vida Awards for “Best Trio” in 1994 and 1995, and nominations such as Tejano Music Award’s “Most Promising Band” in 1994 and “Best Video” in 1996. They toured extensively throughout Miami in 1996 and Mexico in 1998. “Ven a Mi” was a No. 1 hit in the 90’s and was written by Ray Ray.
Los Agues made a special appearance on the Selena movie as Grupo Fuego in 1997. Interestingly, the song they performed on the Selena movie is the single on this new album No Se Como Fue.
Ray Ray was the third vocalist and played percussion for Los Agues. He realized that making music was his destiny and he finally recorded eight out of ten of his original songs which will surely reach deep into your heart. The album features Ray Ray (singer/songwriter), as well as his brother, Jesse Garcia, (back-up vocals and bajo sexto), Manuel Rendon (bass), Roberto Galvan Picazo (accordion) and Chale Torres (drums).
