Describing her red-carpet look, Jenny B teased that it would be an elevated, glamorous take on Tejano fashion.

“It’s very, very upper class tejanita,” she said. “It’s going to be definitely an eye catcher. And you’re going to remember this outfit for years to come.”

Her performance outfit, meanwhile, will bring a different kind of energy.

“Let me just say it’s Becky G with tejanita,” Jenny B said, describing the look as colorful, exciting, sexy and fun. She also suggested the outfit could help introduce a fresh fashion direction to the Tejano scene.

Jenny B will join an impressive group of performers for the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards, where she is looking forward to celebrating the artists, fans and community that continue moving the genre forward.

During her invitation to fans, she emphasized the importance of being part of the historic evening.

“November 13th, it is going down in Katy, Texas, at the Texas Rodeo Saloon,” she said. “I am so excited to not only be there, but I’m going to be performing as well, along with Jay Perez, Siggno and so many great artists. You guys, this is literally history in the making for the Tejano world.”

Looking ahead: New music and a possible national tour in 2027

While Jenny B is focused on the upcoming awards show, she also offered a preview of what fans might expect from her career in 2027.

The singer revealed that she and her team are working on plans for a possible casino tour that could take her music to major markets across the country, including New York and Chicago.

She also confirmed that a new album is in the works, marking her sophomore studio project.

“If you love ‘Ven, Ven, Ven,’ ‘Pobre Tonto,’ ‘Soy Como Soy,’ you’re going to just absolutely adore this album,” she said. “I really feel like this one’s going to really put the stamp for me in Tejano music.”

Although she did not reveal the album’s title, Jenny B expressed excitement about the project and the opportunities ahead.

Advice from a Tejano veteran: Be yourself and keep pushing forward

During the conversation, Jenny B also shared advice she received from veteran producer and musician Hugo Guerrero, known as the “Charanga King,” who worked on some of her early recordings.

She recalled a time when she was struggling emotionally with the challenges of the music business. Guerrero encouraged her to recognize her talent but also understand the resilience required to succeed in the industry.

“He’s like, listen, you’re great at what you do. You’re amazing. You got talent,” she recalled. “But this industry might not be for you because he’s like, you can’t be tied into your emotions like this.”

Jenny B said the experience taught her an important lesson about navigating the entertainment business, where perseverance and learning from difficult experiences are essential.

When asked what advice she would give young artists entering Tejano music, her answer was simple: embrace individuality.

“Be yourself, be yourself. Don’t try to be someone else or try to mimic someone. Be yourself because that is the most unique thing,” she said.

She added that her willingness to embrace her personality, including being goofy, confident and different, has helped her establish her own identity in the industry.

“That’s the reason why I’ve been able to come up the way I did in the Tejano industry and the music industry in general, because nobody can do it like me because it’s me,” Jenny B explained.
