Grupo Frontera is bringing its Música Mexicana sound to the Latin Grammy stage as the Latin Recording Academy continues expanding the performer lineup for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, scheduled for November 12, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Texas-based group is among 12 additional performers recently announced, joining an already impressive lineup of Latin music artists representing multiple genres and generations. The newly announced performers also include Mexican singer Cristian Castro, Camila Fernández, Feid, Reik, Fonseca, Niña Pastori, Sofía Reyes, Milo J, Yami Safdie, Luis Figueroa and The Warning.

Grupo Frontera Earns Recognition With Two Latin Grammy Nominations
The performance announcement comes during an important awards season for Grupo Frontera, which earned a nomination for Best Norteño Album for its project Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar.
The group’s vocalist and songwriter Adelaido “Payo” Solís III also received recognition as a songwriter in the Best Regional Song category for “No Capea,” a collaboration between Grupo Frontera and Xavi.
The nominations highlight the group’s continued presence in the regional Mexican music landscape, where its blend of Norteño influences and contemporary sounds has connected with audiences across generations and international markets.
Tejano Artists Represented in Best Tejano Album Category
While Grupo Frontera is among the featured performers, the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will also shine a spotlight on Tejano music through its dedicated Best Tejano Album category.
This year’s nominees include Kevin Aguilar for Mi Gran Noche – Raphael En La Voz De Kevin Aguilar, Destiny Navaira for 3, Jay Pérez for Le Seguiremos, Bobby Pulido for Bobby Pulido & Friends Una Tuya y Una Mía (Vol. 2/En Vivo), and Vilax for Capítulo 8.

For Tejano fans, the category adds another reason to follow this year’s Latin Grammy Awards, as one of the five nominees will take home the Latin Grammy for Best Tejano Album. The winner will be announced during the The Latin Grammy Premiere, where the majority of the categories are awarded, will precede the telecast.
Latin Grammys to Honor José Alfredo Jiménez’s Musical Legacy
One of the evening’s anticipated highlights will be a special tribute celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of legendary Mexican singer-songwriter José Alfredo Jiménez.
Known as the “King of Ranchera Music,” Jiménez remains one of the most influential figures in Mexican music history. His songwriting helped define the ranchera genre, with timeless compositions that have been recorded and performed by generations of artists.

Award-winning songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera will serve as the musical producer of the tribute. Barrera leads this year’s Latin Grammy nominations with 10, including recognition in major categories such as Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
