KATY, Texas — Fast-rising Tejano star Jenny B is joining the star-studded lineup for the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards, bringing her high-energy performance style and new-generation Tejano sound to one of the genre’s biggest nights.
The 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards will take place Friday, November 13, 2026, at the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy, Texas, marking the second consecutive year the prestigious awards ceremony has been held at the Houston-area venue.
Organized by the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA), the Tejano Music Awards remain the longest-running awards program dedicated entirely to recognizing excellence in Tejano music.
Jenny B joins previously announced performers Tejano icon Jay Perez and hit-making group Siggno as part of the live entertainment lineup for this year’s ceremony.
The evening begins with a 6:00 p.m. CST red-carpet ceremony, followed by the awards show at 7:00 p.m.
Jenny B: A New Generation of Tejano
Known to fans as “La Tejana Barbie,” Jenny B has quickly established herself as one of the emerging voices of the Tejano scene.
Based in San Antonio, Texas, the singer is a third-generation musician with deep family ties to the Texas music industry. Her father, grandfather and uncles were members of the 1990s Tejano band Los Agues, while her uncle, Ray Ray Garcia, is a former Tejano Music Awards winner.
Drawing inspiration from legendary Tejano performers including Selena and Shelly Lares, Jenny B officially launched her solo career in 2022 with the release of her debut single, “Beso de Amor.”
Since then, she has continued building her profile with a string of releases showcasing her powerful vocals, youthful energy and connection to Tejano’s musical traditions.
Among her notable songs are “Beso De Amor,” “Pobre Tonto,” “Viviras Selena” and the high-energy fusion track “Ven, Ven, Ven.”
From Best New Artist to the National Stage
Jenny B’s momentum reached another milestone in 2025, when she won the Best New Artist award at the Tejano Music Awards.
The recognition helped cement her position as one of the genre’s emerging performers and came as she continued expanding her audience beyond the traditional Tejano market.
Later that year, Jenny B reached another major career milestone when she performed the national anthem at an NFL game between the Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins, marking a significant national-stage appearance for the young singer.
Now, her return to the Tejano Music Awards stage comes as she continues to build on that momentum.
For Jenny B, performing at the awards represents another important chapter in a career rooted in family, tradition and the continued evolution of Tejano music.
The 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards
Established in 1980 by the Texas Talent Musicians Association, the Tejano Music Awards were created to provide Tejano artists with a dedicated platform celebrating their accomplishments and contributions to the genre.
Over more than four decades, the event has become known as the “Biggest Night in Tejano Music,” honoring generations of performers, musicians and industry figures who have helped shape the sound and culture of Tejano music.
For most of its history, the ceremony was based in San Antonio, widely recognized as the “Tejano Music Capital of the World.” The awards have been staged at some of the city’s most prominent venues, including the Henry B. González Convention Center, the Alamodome and the Tobin Center.
In 2025, the TTMA made a significant change by moving the main awards presentation from San Antonio to the Houston area, citing financial viability as a primary factor behind the decision.
The 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards marked the first year at the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy. The organization will continue at the venue for the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards on November 13.
Voting Has Closed
Fan voting for the 2026 Tejano Music Awards officially closed on September 4.
The final nominees are expected to be announced online soon, setting the stage for the presentation of this year’s awards during the live ceremony.
