A new voice is taking over the midday airwaves on Super Tejano 102.1 FM, as Rio Grande Valley-born singer-songwriter and radio personality B González, also known as Beatriz Gonzalez, joins the station for a new weekday midday show.
González can now be heard Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., bringing what the station describes as non-stop energy, good vibes and the best in Tejano music to listeners throughout the afternoon.
The move adds another chapter to González’s growing career in radio, music and entertainment, giving her an opportunity to connect with audiences during the heart of the broadcast day.
“A New Chapter Is Here!”
González shared her excitement about the new opportunity with her followers, describing the move as another milestone in a radio career she never expected to have.
“A NEW CHAPTER IS HERE!” González wrote. “I’m excited to share with y’all that I’m adding yet another stripe to the #radio career I never imagined I’d have. It’s all God’s Plan. I trust, I believe and I have faith.”
She also thanked the listeners who have followed her throughout her journey and invited them to join her on the airwaves at her new station.
“New station. New energy. Your girl B González. Same B on the M-I-C.”
González closed her announcement with a message that reflects the personality she has brought to both her music and radio career:
“Catch me from 12-2pm Mon-Fri on Super Tejano 102.1 — It’s a Lifestyle!”
From the Rio Grande Valley to the Airwaves
A native of Donna, Texas, González has built a career that spans music, radio and social media, becoming a recognizable voice and personality from the Rio Grande Valley.
Her radio career began in 2016, when she joined the Ultra 104.9 team. Over the next seven years, she established herself as a radio personality, connecting with listeners through her powerful voice, outgoing personality and authentic approach behind the microphone.
Her radio career has continued to grow, and she is currently part of the Radio United family, where listeners can also hear her on Ultra 90.1 from 4-7 p.m. and La Ley 102.5 from 7-10 p.m.
Her new midday position on Super Tejano 102.1 adds another opportunity for González to connect with Tejano fans while continuing to expand her presence on the radio.
A Growing Regional Mexican Music Career
Away from the microphone, González has developed a successful career as a singer-songwriter and musician.
She began singing mariachi at just 3 years old and later began recording professionally at age 20. Her career reached a major turning point in 2017, when an impromptu video of González singing at the famed Mi Tierra Café in San Antonio went viral, introducing her music and personality to millions of viewers.
Since then, González has developed a substantial social-media following while building her reputation as one of the emerging voices in Regional Mexican music.
Her musical style incorporates traditional influences including mariachi, ranchera and norteño, while also incorporating contemporary elements of pop, cumbia and urban music. Her sound has been described as “New Era Ranchera.”
González is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, vihuela, keyboard and percussion.
Her music catalog includes original songs as well as interpretations of songs made famous by legendary artists, including Juan Gabriel. Her “La Tequilera” album series has become part of her growing discography, while her 2026 release “Tragos Amargos” continues her musical evolution.
One of her best-known recordings, “Borracha Te Recuerdo,” has surpassed 45 million streams, further demonstrating the reach González has developed beyond the Rio Grande Valley.
A Familiar Voice With a New Midday Home
For González, the new Super Tejano 102.1 FM show represents more than another radio time slot. It is another step in a career that has allowed her to build connections with audiences through both music and broadcasting.
Her combination of radio experience, musical background and social-media presence gives her a unique connection to listeners who have followed her career from the Rio Grande Valley to audiences around the world.
Now, during the lunch hour and into the early afternoon, González is inviting listeners to join her for Tejano music, energy and plenty of personality.
B González takes over the midday hours Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Super Tejano 102.1 FM.
For González, the next chapter has officially begun — and she’s bringing her listeners along for the ride.
