Two-time Latin GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Juan Treviño is turning his attention toward one of life’s most universal emotions—gratitude—with his latest single, “Gracias Por Tu Amor.”
The heartfelt new release offers a different perspective from Treviño’s previous singles, trading the sadness and heartbreak of his recent material for a message of appreciation, loyalty and enduring love.
During an interview with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, Treviño explained that he intentionally wanted to take his songwriting in a more uplifting and relatable direction with the new song.
“The last two singles that I had, the lyrics were kind of sad. So with this one, I want to do something that everybody could relate to.”
For Treviño, “Gracias Por Tu Amor” is not limited to romantic relationships. Instead, the song is meant to be a musical expression of appreciation for anyone who has remained by your side through difficult times.
The song can be dedicated to a spouse or partner, but Treviño says its message extends to parents, siblings, best friends or anyone special who has been there “through thick and thin.”
That universal message is at the heart of the song.
Treviño points to one of the song’s central lines—“Me aceptaste con mis defectos, sabiendo que no soy perfecto”—as an expression of the unconditional acceptance that makes certain relationships so meaningful.
“It’s just a song about being thankful for the people you have around you,” Treviño told Romeo.
A Song About Appreciating the People Who Matter
The timing of “Gracias Por Tu Amor” also carries particular meaning for Treviño.
With so much uncertainty in the world, the singer-songwriter believes the song serves as a reminder not to take the people we love for granted.
“You just never know what could happen,” he said, referencing recent events around the world, including natural disasters.
That sense of urgency helped shape the song’s purpose: encouraging listeners to express their appreciation while they have the opportunity.
Treviño hopes fans will use the song as a way to communicate feelings that can sometimes go unspoken.
“That’s the only thing that me as a songwriter hope,” he explained, “that the people can connect to my lyrics.”
Although the song carries a spiritual inspiration for Treviño, he emphasized that “Gracias Por Tu Amor” is not intended to be a religious song.
He revealed that when he was writing it, he felt as though he was writing more for God than anything else. Ultimately, however, he wanted the song to remain open enough for listeners to find their own personal meaning in its lyrics.

A Busy Year of Songwriting and Collaborations
While “Gracias Por Tu Amor” is Treviño’s latest solo release, the acclaimed songwriter has also remained busy behind the scenes.
Throughout 2026, Treviño has continued participating in songwriting camps in Los Angeles, Nashville, Houston and San Antonio, working alongside a variety of respected songwriters and artists.
Several of those collaborations are expected to surface throughout the year, giving fans an opportunity to hear Treviño’s songwriting through the voices of other performers.
Looking Ahead to a New Album
Fans of Treviño can also look forward to more original music from the two-time Latin GRAMMY winner. The singer-songwriter revealed that his next full-length album is currently planned for April 2027, approximately two years after his previous album.
Before then, he expects to release another single, potentially in late November, December or early 2027, depending on how the upcoming projects develop.
Treviño also made it clear that his creative process isn’t driven by awards. When asked about the possibility of another Latin GRAMMY nomination, he explained that he doesn’t approach his music with the awards in mind.
Instead, his focus remains on creating songs that connect with people.
That philosophy is especially evident in “Gracias Por Tu Amor.”
Rather than telling listeners how they should interpret the song, Treviño gives them a simple invitation: think about the person—or people—who have stood beside you through everything and let them know how much their love and support mean.
With its message of unconditional acceptance and appreciation, “Gracias Por Tu Amor” gives Treviño another opportunity to do what he has built his career around—turning genuine emotion into songs that listeners can make their own.
