Yeisi Teams with Costumbre for ‘El Vino de Tu Boca’

Tejano singer-songwriter Yeisi is back with a new romantic cumbia, teaming up with Costumbre for “El Vino de Tu Boca,” a heartfelt collaboration that brings together the sounds of modern Tejano and Regional Mexican music.

Recorded in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, the new single showcases YEISI’s signature romantic style alongside the unmistakable sound of Costumbre. The collaboration is driven by a memorable melody, powerful vocals and polished production designed to connect with audiences across Tejano and Regional Mexican radio.

“El Vino de Tu Boca” was produced by Juan Carlos Peña Jr. (YEISI) and features the musical talents of two-time Latin Grammy Award winner Jair Alcalá, the lead vocalist and accordionist for El Plan. Alcalá’s accordion work adds another layer to the cumbia-driven production, helping give the song its distinctive Regional Mexican flavor.

The song is a reimagined version of the 2025 hit by Alejandro Saenz and Carin León, with YEISI and Costumbre putting their own musical stamp on the romantic track.

With its combination of cumbia rhythms, emotional vocals and cross-genre collaboration, “El Vino de Tu Boca” represents another step in YEISI’s continued effort to expand the reach of romantic Tejano music.

A Modern Voice in Romantic Tejano

Born Juan Carlos Peña Jr., YEISI has established himself as one of the modern voices of romantic Tejano music. Based in the Rio Grande Valley, the multi-time Tejano Music Awards nominee has built his career around songs exploring relationships, love and heartbreak.

His musical journey began with the 2020 release of Romance Tejano, his debut studio album produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Gilbert Velasquez.

The eight-track project featured entirely original compositions written by YEISI, including the lead single “Amor,” immediately establishing the singer-songwriter’s focus on romantic storytelling.

YEISI followed with his sophomore album, Reminiscencias, in 2021. The project expanded his musical palette through collaborations with artists from both the Tejano and Norteño worlds.

Among the album’s collaborations was “Te Tuve y Te Perdí” with El Plan, as well as “Te Quiero” with Las Fenix.

His collaborative approach continued in subsequent years, including the duet “No Puedo Olvidarte” with Tejano legend Ram Herrera, further demonstrating YEISI’s ability to connect his contemporary romantic sound with established figures in the genre.

Now, “El Vino de Tu Boca” adds Costumbre to that growing list of notable collaborations.

From the Classroom to the Stage

Beyond his work as a recording artist and songwriter, Peña also has a career dedicated to music education.

When he is not recording or performing, Peña works under his legal name as a full-time elementary school music teacher with McAllen Independent School District.

His dual career as an educator and professional musician gives him a unique connection to the next generation of musicians while allowing him to continue contributing to the Tejano music scene.

With “El Vino de Tu Boca,” YEISI once again brings together his passion for romantic music and collaboration, this time with Costumbre and a production team featuring one of Regional Mexican music’s acclaimed accordionists.
