Jay Perez, David Lee Garza and Jesse Turner Team Up for Star-Studded ‘The Jay Perez Song’ Music Video Shoot

Three powerhouse names in Tejano music have joined forces for an all-star collaboration that is already generating excitement among fans.

Freddie Records recently teased the upcoming music video for “The Jay Perez Song,” the latest single from Tejano music icon Jay Perez, featuring fellow Freddie Records artists David Lee Garza and Jesse Turner, frontman of Grupo Siggno.

The legendary record label gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the video shoot at Legends Sound Studios, sharing footage of the three artists together as they brought the collaboration to life.

“So, this happened last night at Legends Sound Studios,” Freddie Records wrote in its social media post. “The Voice, Jay Perez, was joined by The Godfather of Tejano, David Lee Garza of David Lee Garza y los Musicales, and superstar Jesse Turner of Grupo Siggno, for the ultimate all-star collab.”

The song was written by Turner and features a special accordion appearance by Garza, adding another layer of Tejano tradition to a track created specifically for Perez.

The behind-the-scenes footage also reveals Turner stepping away from the microphone and getting behind the drums for the video shoot, showcasing another side of the Siggno frontman.

The music video was filmed by Mike Salgado Jr. of Mike Shotit, with Freddie Records praising everyone involved in bringing the project together.

“Great job all around from everyone,” the label said, while teasing fans that a premiere date announcement is coming soon.

A Song Built Around a Tejano Icon

“The Jay Perez Song” appears on Perez’s late-2025 album Le Seguiremos, bringing together three influential artists whose careers have helped shape the modern Tejano sound.

Perez, widely known as “The Voice,” has built a celebrated career spanning decades, earning a reputation for his powerful vocals, soulful interpretations and dynamic performances that have made him one of Tejano music’s most respected entertainers.

David Lee Garza, known as “The Godfather of Tejano,” is an acclaimed accordionist, bandleader and producer whose work with David Lee Garza y los Musicales has made him one of the genre’s most influential figures, helping define the sound of contemporary Tejano music.

Jesse Turner, the lead vocalist and frontman of Grupo Siggno, is known for his distinctive voice, emotional songwriting and energetic performances, helping make Siggno one of the most recognizable groups of the modern Tejano and conjunto scene.

Three Generations of Tejano Excellence

The collaboration represents more than the pairing of three major artists. It brings together different generations and musical perspectives within the Tejano community.

Perez’s veteran status and unmistakable vocal style provide the foundation for the song, while Turner’s songwriting and Garza’s accordion work add their own signatures to the recording.

Now, the accompanying music video promises to give fans a visual celebration of that musical connection.

Freddie Records has not yet announced the official premiere date for “The Jay Perez Song” music video, but the label has promised that the announcement is coming soon.
