Rising Tejano and Latin music sensation Gabriella Martinez is making an emotional comeback with the teaser release of her upcoming single, “Ya Se Te Olvidó,” a heartfelt track centered on love, heartbreak, betrayal, and healing.
The singer, known professionally as Gabriella, shared an emotional message with fans while announcing the new release on social media.
“Pro tip, don’t break my heart… I’ll make a song about it,” Gabriella wrote. “It’s been a while my friends, but I’m so glad to be back. NEW SINGLE OUT THIS FRIDAY!!”
The upcoming single was written by acclaimed songwriter Angela Davalos and produced by Ulises “Uly” Lozano, combining emotional storytelling with the polished Tejano and Latin sound Gabriella has become known for. Early teasers suggest “Ya Se Te Olvidó” may be one of the singer’s most vulnerable and mature releases to date.
After spending the last year away from releasing new music, Gabriella’s return marks a new chapter in her rapidly rising career. Alongside the announcement, she also hinted that more surprises are on the way for fans in the near future.
Originally born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Gabriella relocated to Houston, Texas, to fully pursue her passion for Tejano music. The Colombian-Boricua-Korean artist has quickly become one of the genre’s brightest new stars, earning recognition for both her vocal talent and dedication to preserving and modernizing traditional Tejano sounds.
Despite not growing up fluent in Spanish, Gabriella has made a major impact in regional Mexican and Tejano music, connecting with audiences through authenticity, emotion, and determination.
Her breakthrough success has already earned her consecutive Latin Grammy nominations for Best Tejano Album. Her debut project, Siempre Gabriella, received a nomination at the 25th Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2024, while her follow-up six-track EP, Yo No Te Perdí, earned another nomination in 2025.
Gabriella also solidified her breakout status at the 44th Annual Tejano Music Awards, taking home honors for Best New Female Artist and Best Music Video.
Now, with “Ya Se Te Olvidó,” Gabriella appears ready to open an even more personal chapter in her artistry — one rooted in heartbreak, honesty, and resilience. It will be available on all digital streaming platforms on Friday, May 29. Pre-save now.
