Grupo Siggno is celebrating a major milestone as their latest album, Su Legado 1938, soared to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Latin Albums Chart just one day after its release on May 1 across all digital platforms.

The achievement was announced by Freddie Records via social media, praising both the group and their loyal fanbase for powering the album to the top. “SU LEGADO 1938 is the number one album on the overall list of best-selling Latin albums from Grupo Siggno. This is an incredible achievement for the team at Siggno and Freddie Records. We want to thank all the fans who bought the album and helped make the impact needed to reach the top spot,” the label shared.
Frontman Jesse Turner also expressed heartfelt gratitude in a video message, reflecting on the emotional significance behind the project.
“I wanted to say thank you for supporting the new album, Her Legacy 1938. It’s my mom up there. It’s for our moms, my mom and my grandma,” Turner said. “I hope this album brings you a lot of good emotion and a lot of good feelings. It’s definitely brought me peace… There’s no words to express what I feel. All I can just keep saying is thank you.”
Turner also encouraged fans to continue supporting the album through direct purchases. “I know some of you already have subscriptions to Spotify and other places where you can get the music for free, but if you want to keep supporting your friends in Grupo Siggno, then go to the iTunes Store and just purchase the album,” he added.
The 13-track album showcases a mix of new material and fan-favorite releases, including “Si Me Ves Cantando,” “Vuela Madrecita,” and “Traté De Olvidarte, Hasta La Cima Del Cielo,” the latter featuring Solido. Adding momentum to the release, the group also dropped a brand-new single titled “Se Rompió.”
Beyond its commercial success, Su Legado 1938 carries a deeply personal story. The album was created during a period of grief following the passing of Turner’s mother last August. In an interview with The Bo Corona Show, Turner revealed he turned to music as an emotional outlet.
“I went into the studio and I wrote a bunch of songs because I didn’t want to be home and I didn’t want to be sad,” he shared. “So I finished the album during that time. I sang before my mom was buried, and I wrote her a song.”
That raw vulnerability became the emotional core of the album, which stands as a tribute to his mother’s enduring legacy. The cover art further underscores that connection, featuring a touching image of Turner alongside her—an image that has already struck a chord with fans.
Known for blending norteño and Tejano influences with heartfelt storytelling, Grupo Siggno continues to evolve while staying true to their roots. With its powerful backstory and strong collection of songs, Su Legado 1938 is quickly emerging as one of the most meaningful and impactful releases of the year.
