SAN ANTONIO, TX — Grupo Duelo kicked off their highly anticipated “Gravedad Tour” in triumphant fashion Friday night, performing to a completely sold-out crowd at Freeman Coliseum. More than 7,500 fans packed the venue, creating an electric atmosphere that pulsed nonstop for over two and a half hours of music, nostalgia, and connection.

Before taking the stage, the group experienced a deeply meaningful honor that underscored their cultural impact. Led by frontman Óscar Iván Treviño, the band received an official resolution and a flag flown over The Alamo—a symbolic recognition of their legacy and influence. The tribute was presented by Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark, Deputy Clerk Priscilla Hernandez, and Cameron County Clerk Sylvia Garza, following approval by Bexar County leadership.

Once the first chords rang out, the energy inside the coliseum surged. Fans were immediately swept into a wave of emotion as Duelo performed beloved tracks like “Te Cura el Time,” “Amiga Soledad,” and “Y Me Quedé Suspirando.” The momentum only built from there, with massive sing-alongs to hits including “Por Amarte Tanto,” “Desde Hoy,” and “Hombre con Suerte,” each lyric echoing across the arena in unison.
One of the night’s standout moments came during the second set, when Treviño returned to the stage wearing a San Antonio Spurs jersey. The gesture sent the crowd into a frenzy as he proudly embraced his identity, calling himself “another Hispanic crazy fan,” strengthening his bond with the hometown audience.
The show closed on a powerful high note, featuring fan favorites like “Te Odio y Te Amo,” “Sentimientos de Cartón,” “Un Minuto Más,” and “Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos.” Confetti rained down as the final notes played, capping off an unforgettable opening night filled with passion and celebration.
Following the resounding success in San Antonio, the “Gravedad Tour” continues its momentum with a stop in Laredo tonight at the Sames Auto Arena before heading into Mexico for a performance at the Féria de Aguascalientes on May 4.
With more than 25 years of musical excellence, Grupo Duelo has cemented its place as one of the most influential acts in Regional Mexican music. Their extensive catalog, marked by Gold and Platinum certifications, along with numerous award nominations and wins—including Latin Grammy recognition, Premios Juventud, and Billboard Latin Music Awards—reflects a career defined by consistency and impact.
At the heart of it all is Treviño, whose work as a songwriter and producer has extended far beyond Duelo, collaborating with major names such as Intocable, Carín León, Bronco, Los Invasores de Nuevo León, Los Palominos, and Pesado.
As the “Gravedad Tour” continues across cities and borders, one thing is already clear: Grupo Duelo isn’t just celebrating their legacy—they’re actively expanding it, one sold-out show at a time.
