MESQUITE, TX — What was expected to be a triumphant final stop of Bobby Pulido’s farewell run in the Dallas area has officially been postponed. The highly anticipated April 18 show at the Gómez Western Wear Arena will now take place on May 31, leaving fans with mixed emotions and plenty of questions.
Marketed as a major send-off for the two-time Latin Grammy winner, the concert was set to feature special appearances by his legendary father, Roberto Pulido, and fan favorite Pete Astudillo—making it one of the most anticipated Tejano events in the Metroplex this season.
However, industry whispers suggest the postponement may be tied to slow ticket sales, with reports claiming less than 20% of the venue’s 7,000-plus capacity had been filled.

Another factor possibly affecting turnout? Brand confusion. While officially renamed Gómez Western Wear Arena, many longtime fans still recognize the venue as the iconic Rodeo de Mesquite. The name change may have unintentionally caused uncertainty about the location, impacting attendance.
For now, all purchased tickets will remain valid for the new May 31 date, and refunds are available through the venue’s official website.
The big question remains:
Will fans show up in full force to give Bobby Pulido the grand farewell he deserves?
All eyes are now on May 31.
