FORT WORTH, TX — Award-winning Tejano powerhouse Grupo Stampede is going back to where it all began with the release of their latest single, A Pesar De Tu Engaño,” now available on all digital streaming platforms. Released under Iron String Records, the track blends the band’s classic Conjunto foundation with a fresh, modern energy led by their newest vocalist, Gabriel Juarez.

Following the success of his debut single with the band, “No Te Vayas Nunca,” Juarez continues to make his mark on the Stampede legacy. Showcasing a smooth vocal range and emotional delivery, he brings new life to a sound that longtime fans have cherished for decades.

“A Pesar De Tu Engaño” is more than just a new release—it’s a deliberate return to the band’s roots. The song pays homage to Grupo Stampede’s early hit “El Último Trago,” capturing the same driving accordion riffs and tight rhythmic groove that helped define the iconic “Stampede Sound.”

“We wanted to give the fans something that felt like home,” the band shared. “Gabriel has this incredible ability to honor our traditional roots while bringing a fresh energy that keeps the music moving forward.”

According to bandleader Ray Sifuentes, the track has been years in the making. During a recent interview with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, Sifuentes revealed that the song originally started nearly two decades ago.

“It’s a song that I had started working on probably like 20 years ago,” he said. “You know how things come up and you put it to the side. ‘El Último Trago’ was one of our biggest hits back in ’96, ’97, and I thought maybe it was time to try that style again. I brought that one out of retirement, and so far everybody likes it.”

The release also comes as Grupo Stampede gears up for a major milestone—celebrating 30 years in the music industry. The band’s first performance took place on October 31, 1996, in Fort Worth, Texas, and plans are already in motion for a special anniversary celebration later this year.

Sifuentes shared that the event will feature a reunion of past members, including original vocalist Alex De Leon, along with former singers Rick Torres and Elias Arredondo. Longtime collaborator Chente Barrera, who penned “No Te Vayas Nunca,” is also expected to be part of the celebration.

Looking ahead, Grupo Stampede is preparing to release a highly anticipated new album that will double as a 30th anniversary project. The upcoming record is set to include multiple collaborations, bringing together past and present voices of the band in a unique tribute to its legacy.

“We’ve got something special planned,” Sifuentes said. “This album will be our 30-year anniversary CD, but also a collaboration project with different artists. It’s about bringing everyone together.”

The band is targeting a late summer release, with plans to drop the full album before their anniversary festivities. A new music video is also in the works, which will feature a cameo appearance from original singer Alex De Leon, symbolizing the bridge between the band’s past and future.

In addition to new music, Grupo Stampede continues to stay active on the road with a packed performance schedule across Texas and beyond, including upcoming stops in San Antonio, Arlington, Victoria, Las Vegas, and Milwaukee.

With “A Pesar De Tu Engaño,” Grupo Stampede proves that while their sound continues to evolve, their roots remain firmly intact—delivering a timeless Conjunto style that resonates with both longtime fans and a new generation of listeners.

The single is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and all major streaming platforms.
