The Recording Academy has unveiled the nominees for the 2026 GRAMMY Awards, and the Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano) category is packed with star power and diverse representation of regional Mexican sounds — from Tejano to norteño and sierreño styles.
The nominees are:
- Bobby Pulido – Bobby Pulido & Friends Una Tuya Y una Mía – Por la Puerta Grande (Live)
- Carín León – Palabra de To’s (Seca)
- Fuerza Regida & Grupo Frontera – Mala Mía
- Grupo Frontera – Y Lo Que Viene
- Paola Jara – Sin Rodeos
Tejano star Bobby Pulido celebrates his second career GRAMMY nomination, following his nod for Best Tejano Album at the 46th GRAMMY Awards in 2004. His latest project, a vibrant live album recorded in Mexico, showcases his continued impact on the Tejano and regional Mexican genres.
Meanwhile, Grupo Frontera makes history with two nominations in the same category, marking their first-ever GRAMMY nods. The group’s rapid rise and chart-topping collaborations, including Mala Mía with Fuerza Regida, underscore their growing influence in global Latin music.
This year’s GRAMMY nominees were revealed during a special livestream featuring artists including Chappell Roan, KAROL G, Sabrina Carpenter, Sam Smith, and more. Across 95 categories, the nominations reflect a year of wide-ranging creativity and genre fusion in the music industry.
The 2026 GRAMMY Awards will be held Sunday, February 1, live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcasting on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+. Fans can also watch exclusive content and highlights all year long at live.GRAMMY.com.
