The excitement is building for the 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards, as the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA) has announced the first performers for this year’s milestone celebration — Lucky Joe and Da Krazy Pimpz. The event is set to take place at the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy, Texas, on Friday, November 21, 2025.
Known for his exceptional talent in Regional Mexican and Tejano music, Lucky Joe has made his mark as a celebrated accordionist, singer, and songwriter. His impressive career includes multiple accolades, such as the Tejano Music Award for Best New Male Artist (2014) and Male Vocalist of the Year (2019). He also earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Tejano Album in 2019, solidifying his status as one of the genre’s top talents.
Joining him on the performance lineup are Da Krazy Pimpz, a dynamic Tejano, Conjunto, and Cumbia fusion band formed in 2007 by founder Eddie Jimenez. Known for their colorful “pimp” suits and high-energy performances, the group has become a fan favorite, capturing three Tejano Music Awards, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year (2018).
Adding even more excitement to the evening, comedian Alex Reymundo will host the prestigious event, bringing his signature humor and charm to the “Biggest Night in Tejano Music.”
This year marks a major change for the historic awards show — moving from its traditional home in San Antonio, known as the “Tejano Music Capital of the World,” to Katy, Texas, for the first time in many years. The 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards promises an unforgettable night filled with live performances, emotional tributes, and special collaborations honoring Tejano legends while spotlighting the next generation of rising stars.
The evening kicks off with a red carpet event from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7:00 p.m.Tables for the event sold out in less than 72 hours, though general admission tickets are still available.
