Tejano music giants David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales have officially unveiled the teaser for the music video of their brand-new single, “Atormentando”, marking an exciting new chapter in their illustrious career. Distributed by the iconic Freddie Records, the track hit Tejano airwaves in July and streaming platforms last month, quickly drawing attention from fans and DJs across the industry.
Staying true to the band’s signature sound, “Atormentando” blends emotive lyrics, melodic accordion riffs, and an irresistible rhythm built for the dance floor. It’s the timeless style that has defined David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales for more than four decades—now infused with fresh energy as part of their first-ever release under the Freddie Records banner.
Affectionately known as “The Godfather of Tejano,” David Lee Garza has guided the band through a remarkable 45+ year journey, cementing their place as one of the most respected and influential names in the genre. With 31 albums to their credit—including the 2023 fan-favorite Solamente Tú—the group continues to bridge generations with music that honors Tejano tradition while evolving its sound.
“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Freddie Records family,” said Garza. “Atormentando stays true to the classic DLG y Los Musicales style, and I can’t wait for our fans to hear it. This is just the beginning of something very special.”
The single also serves as a preview of the group’s upcoming full-length album, slated for release in September 2025. Fans can catch the full premiere of the “Atormentando” official music video on the Freddie Records TV YouTube channel on Thursday, September 4, at 6:30 p.m. CT.
With this release, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales reaffirm not only their legendary legacy, but also their future, solidifying their place as one of the most beloved and enduring forces in Tejano music history.
