Marlissa Vela has been immersed in the world of music since the day she was born. As the daughter of the late, great Ruben Vela, it is no surprise that musical talent runs deep in her veins. Her latest single release is a rendition of her father’s classic, “Viendolo Bien.”
Making her debut musical performance in 1997, Marlissa has since graced countless stages across Texas and the United States, including prestigious events such as the San Antonio Conjunto Festival, Aqui Rogelio TV Show, Tejano Music Awards, The Johnny Canales Show, and the Las Vegas Tejano Convention (Vegas Tejano Takeover), among many others.
Her exceptional talent has not gone unnoticed, earning her nominations for the TTMA “Upcoming Female Vocalist” and later “Female Vocalist.”
In 2018, Marlissa signed with CHR Records, continuing her long-standing collaboration with Producer and CEO Rick Garcia. She is currently working on her second CHR album, set to be released in Fall 2024.
In a heartfelt tribute to her late father, Marlissa released her own rendition of one of his classics, “Viendolo Bien.” This single release showcases her natural talent and solidifies her rightful place in the Conjunto music scene. Marlissa Vela continues to make her mark in the industry, carrying on her father’s legacy while forging her own path.
