Feid and Karol G shine as the most awarded stars of the night at 2024 Latin American Music Awards

The 2024 Latin AMAs buzzed with energy, exciting world premieres, unique collaborations, and moving tributes

Miami, FL. — Under the theme “We Speak Música,” the ninth annual Latin American Music Awards 2024 made history by becoming the first bilingual awards ceremony in the United States. The MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas buzzed with energy, and set the stage for exciting world premieres, unique collaborations, and moving tributes, all of which aired live on UnivisionUNIMÁSGalavisión, and ViX . The biggest winners of the night were Karol G and Feid, who each took home six awards. Karol G won Artist of the Year and Song of the Year, while Feid excelled in Collaboration of the Year and Streaming Artist of the Year. Shakira and Young Miko each received three awards, adding even more prestige to this unforgettable gala.

The show was masterfully hosted by pop legend Thalia, multi-platinum singer Becky G, presenter and actress Alejandra Espinoza, and television host Carlos Ponce. Among the standout moments of the night were the special awards given to iconic Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner and Mexican music group Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga , who were bestowed with Latin AMA Legacy recognition. In addition, reggaeton star Yandel was honored as Latin AMA Pioneer for his countless contributions to the urban genre. 

The night was also marked by exciting performances. Superstar Peso Pluma, who debuted at the 2023 Latin AMAs—marking his inaugural appearance at a music awards ceremony in the United States—graced the stage once again to deliver his latest hit, “Peso Completo,” alongside ArcángelMarc Anthony delivered the world premiere of his new single “Ale Ale”, teasing his long-awaited new album. In addition, celebrated actress and Latin pop singer Thalia surprised the audience with the world premiere of a single from her upcoming album, set to release on April 26th, while Becky G delighted fans with “Mercedes,” alongside Mexican talent Oscar Maydon . 

The urban genre also had its moment of glory with the performances of several of its stars, including Brazilian sensation Anitta, debuting two tracks from her upcoming album “Funk Generation,” reggaeton legend Wisin, Puerto Rican artist Farruko, who was joined by Ky- Mani Marley, the talented Dalex, successful producer and songwriter Dimelo Flow, Panamanian powerhouse Sech and one of the big winners of the night, Feid, who made a stop on his ‘FerxxoCalipsis’ tour to perform at the Latin AMAs . 

Furthermore, the evening was full of surprises as singer-songwriter Carin León presented his song “When La Vida Sea Trago” for the first time on television, while acclaimed American country singer Jennifer Nettles joined singer-songwriter Noel Schajris for the world premiere of “Love’s Still Here” from their upcoming bilingual album. Finally, the audience enjoyed unrivaled performances by rising stars Danny OceanMoratRyan CastroChino PacasGabito BallesterosYng LvcasVenesti alongside Nacho, and DJ and producer Milo Beat. The power couple Jay Wheeler and Zhamira also captivated with their rendition of “Estrañando tú.”
