Corpus Christi, TX — M Music & Entertainment Group and Freddie Records announced the addition of 18-year-old rising Norteño sensation Nathan Acosta to their family of artists.
Acosta recently signed to the iconic label and is in the final stages of mixing and mastering his debut single, “Solo”, which is set for release on April 19th. The song was written and produced by Latin Grammy award-winning Siggno founder and frontman Jesse Turner. Acosta also recently signed an exclusive contract with Turner’s management and booking agency, JT Entertainment.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Acosta, who writes, sings, and plays accordion, has been gaining widespread attention as a featured guest on the current Cásate Conmigo Tour featuring Siggno and Jennifer Peña. The tour is currently playing to capacity crowds across the U.S. and Mexico. Acosta has a featured segment during Siggno’s headlining performance where he takes centerstage and showcases his impressive vocal and accordion skills. Audiences have been amazed at Acosta’s effortless accordion technique, smooth vocal delivery, and charismatic stage presence. He blazes through incredible renditions of classic Norteño songs such as, “Tragos Amargos”, “Gaviota”, “Parece Que No” and other fan favorites from his musical influences including Ramon Ayala, Intocable, Los Relampagos Del Norte, and others.
Acosta’s forthcoming debut single, “Solo”, is a norteño style ranchera with an irresistibly catchy chorus. Produced and written by Turner, the track was recorded, mixed and mastered by Richard Rosales and Mariano Herrera at the famed Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi. The renowned studio has also
hosted superstars such as Ramon Ayala, The Legends, Los Palominos, Michael Salgado, Jimmy Gonzalez Y Grupo Mazz, Elida Reyna, and many others who have recorded award winning albums and hit songs at the facility.
“This is surreal! I can’t believe this is really happening,” said Acosta. “This is an absolute dream come true for me. Since I was a kid, I’ve dreamt of being able to record and play music in front of big crowds.”
He added, “I’ve been blessed to have the support of my biggest fan, my mom. And now, by joining a legendary record label such as Freddie Records, and becoming part of the JT Entertainment group, I finally feel like I have the support of a team of professionals who have my back and will work hard to help me take my music to a whole new level.”
“We’re extremely proud to have Nathan join our family of amazing artists,” said Freddie Martinez, Jr., President of Operations and Artist Relations for Freddie Records. “Nathan is exactly the kind of artist we’ve been searching for. He’s young, extremely talented, charismatic, humble, and full of energy and
enthusiasm.” Martinez added, “Nathan has an amazing career ahead of him and we’re thrilled to join him on his musical journey.”
M Music & Entertainment Group and Freddie Records will service Acosta’s single, “Solo”, to radio the first week of April, followed by its worldwide release on digital music platforms April 19. A video for the track was recently shot in San Antonio and will also have its world premiere on April 19.
