Today, I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the softest and most delicious Rosca de Reyes (Three Kings Bread), I promise you after you make your own you will NEVER want to buy it from the store! I personally don’t like buying roscas because 99% of the time are dry and have no flavor time and patience are required when making sweet bread and this one is no exception, it’s very easy just time-consuming (4 hours max)

WARNING: Make sure your ingredients are at room temperature

Test your yeast prior to using it to prevent wasting time and ingredients

Tip enjoy every bite with a cup of champurrado or coffee!

Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown

Ingredients:

  • 10-12 servings
  • 500 g sifted all-purpose flour (about 3 3/4 cup)
  • 10 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • Orange zest from 1 orange
  • 2 eggs and 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp orange extract
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5.5 oz warm milk (110 degrees F) 3/4 cup minus 1 tbsp to get exact measurements or 11 tbsp
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter at room temp
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/2 cup butter at room temp
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cherries Chopped pecans and sliced almonds or dry fruits
  • 1 serving of love.
