But the story behind the viral release began before the song officially arrived on streaming platforms, with a special opportunity that brought the young talent together with one of Tejano music’s most legendary groups.

Lil Comic receives personal blessing from La Mafia

Just days before releasing his remake, Lil Comic, also known as Little Comic, was invited to perform “No Lo Haré” live as a special guest of Grammy Award-winning group La Mafia at Home Run Dugout in Katy, Texas.

The opportunity followed a personal meeting with La Mafia frontman Oscar De La Rosa, who gave the young artist his blessing to remake the group’s classic song.

Reflecting on the experience, Lil Comic shared his excitement about performing alongside the legendary group and gave fans an early preview of what was coming.

“So proud to have sung live on stage with Oscar and La Mafia. Stay tuned for my cover of La Mafia’s ‘No Lo Haré’!”

The live performance quickly gained traction on TikTok, surpassing 1.9 million views and introducing the young artist’s interpretation of the song to an expanding audience.

A 13-year-old producer doing it all himself

What makes Lil Comic’s version particularly remarkable is the talent behind its production.

At just 13 years old, the rising artist handled the production, mixing and mastering of the track himself from his home studio, N MEYE RUME RECORDS.

He also revealed that the vocals feature his own high and low harmonies, emphasizing just how much of the recording he accomplished independently.

“I produced, mixed, and mastered this myself, singing both high and low harmonies—ALL ME, no Auto-Tune!”

His remake preserves the connection to La Mafia’s original while introducing a fresh musical approach and production touches that give the classic a new identity for today’s listeners.

Lil Comic previously gained recognition as the inaugural winner of music legend Little Joe’s Tejanitos Got Talent, further establishing himself as a young talent to watch in the Tejano music scene.

Lil Comic thanks fans and Oscar De La Rosa

As the TikTok trend continues to grow, Lil Comic says the response from listeners and content creators has been overwhelming.

In a message thanking supporters, the young artist also credited his faith and the opportunity provided by De La Rosa for helping launch this new chapter in his musical journey.

“The love on TikTok has been amazing! God opened this door, and I walked right in. Thank you all for the love and support. I couldn’t do it without you! And to Oscar for helping me to embark on this new chapter.”

The viral response demonstrates how social media continues to introduce Tejano music to younger audiences and create new opportunities for established classics to reach listeners around the world.

With hundreds of TikTok creators already using Lil Comic’s version of “No Lo Haré,” the remake is bringing renewed attention to one of La Mafia’s memorable songs while highlighting the creativity and musical potential of the next generation.

The official studio version of Lil Comic’s “No Lo Haré” is now available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, along with an official music video.

For the 13-year-old producer, receiving the blessing of Oscar De La Rosa and sharing the stage with La Mafia marks a significant milestone in an emerging musical journey.

And with more than 1.9 million views on his live performance, Lil Comic is proving that a timeless Tejano classic can find a whole new audience when the next generation puts its own spin on it.
