
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA– Bobby Pulido won Best Tejano Album at the 23rd annual Latin Grammy Awards for Para Que Baile Mi Pueblo. The announcement was made during a pre-show Latin Grammy Premiere ceremony on Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This is the first Latin Grammy win for Pulido and his fourth nomination for the Best Tejano Album category. His previous nominations include El Cazador in 2000, Montame in 2004, and Vive in 2005.
In his acceptance speech, Pulido commented, “Tejano music lives and will never die because we are more than a musical genre we are a culture and I’m very proud to be a Tejano.”
Other nominees for Best Tejano Album included Despreciado from El Plan, Camino Al Progreso from Grupo Alamo, Dime Cómo Se Siente from Destiny Navaira, and Una Ilusión from Isabel Marie.
The 23rd annual Latin GRAMMYs take place at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022.
