Jesse Turner of Grupo Siggno shared an emotional video and message celebrating the birthday of his son Jacob Turner on Thursday (April 28).
The video recorded a few years ago and shared via social media today shows a loving embrace between father and son with a message that said: “Happy Birthday Jacob. I know God tells you every day how much I love you. I’m proud of you for your fight and for your struggle. You’re with me in every song, every performance, in every step, in every interview, in every silent moment, in every breathe I take I think of you. I love you so much…I’ve had this video since 2019 and his status has changed from that time to now. Please with all the love in the world don’t ask me anything about Jacob. Instead help me wish him a Happy Birthday. Thank you. Much love Dad AND THANK YOU NINA, for being such an amazing mother. God Bless you always.”
Jacob was involved in a near-fatal auto accident in February 2016 suffering traumatic injuries including severe brain damage.
In another video posted in August 2021 by Jesse, he said he knows his son, who was the bass player for Siggno before the accident, will never return to the stage.
“The one thing that I get told a lot is, ‘You’re son is gonna be restored 100 percent, you’re son is gonna be able to be on stage with you again, you’re son is gonna be…’ My son is not coming back and it’s something I accepted a long time ago, maybe it’s something that you guys need to accept too,” he said. “It’s not up to us what we want, it’s up to God and sometimes there’s nothing we can do to change things. My son has complications, he’ll never be 100 percent but he’s 100 percent loved.”
Happy birthday Jacob!
