Latin GRAMMY winner Juan Treviño continues to release performances of his own hits recorded by other artists. On this occasion, Treviño brings us his Country/Tex-Mex version of “Me Enamoré de Un Ángel,” a song recorded by Los Palominos in 2008.
The track features GRAMMY-nominate violinist Suemy Gonzalez, which was co-produced by Trevino and Latin music executive Carlos Alvarez.
“It was his idea to add the violin in it and it took it a whole other way with that country feel,” Treviño tells Tejano Nation. “I’m really happy with the outcome. It’s different from when Los Palominos recorded it in 2008.”

Treviño has written many hit songs for some of the biggest names in Tejano music including Elida Reyna Y Avante, Jay Perez, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, and Siggno, to name just a few. Most of which are romantic love songs.
“I’m a romantic at heart so I love ballads and just listen to singer-songwriter’s music,” said Treviño. “I’m always listening to different styles and genres and I guess it shows up on my music and this is the outcome. It’s just a fresh sound for me.”
This track will be part of Treviño’s Acoustic Sessions EP of the same concept which is set for an early May 2022 release.
“There’s just so many songs that I have to choose from so it’s hard. I don’t want to rush anything so there’s going to be 7 or 8 songs for the first one and I’m hoping people will accept it and like it.”
