Los Lost Boyz, a group founded by former Kumbia Kings All Starz members Ricky Valenz and Chris Dominguez, debut with a cumbia version of “Nunca Voy A Olvidarte,” the hit song originally recorded by Mexican Norteño band Bronco.
“It’s actually one of our favorite classic covers but we decided to remix it our way, Los Lost Boyz style,” Dominguez tells Tejano Nation. “It’s a cumbia, a lot of you are familiar with it, we just wanted to remix it our way.”
The duo have become great friends since their time with Los Kumbia Kings All-Starz, Dominguez played keyboards and Valenz was the lead vocalist and decided the time is now to form their own group.
“We’ve known each other for a while and we finally decided to come together and start this new project,” said Dominguez. “It’s a dream we both had and here we are, a brand new group, Los Lost Boyz.”
Valenz added, “I was trying to work with Chris even before I joined the band (Kumbia Kings All-Starz), so we actually have an opportunity to work together finally, so it’s going to be fun.”
Los Lost Boyz will feature a fusion of a rock sound with a cumbia vibe. “We’re pretty much rockers,” said Dominguez. “We’re doing a rocker vibe but with cumbia and we are going to be getting a lot more creative on the next single to come.”
The group launched a docuseries to chronicle the band’s adventure. “We’re basically going to tell our story in a web series,” said Dominguez. “We’re filming a live web cinematic series, like a documentary, and we’re going to show the story unfold of Los Lost Boyz.”

Los Lost Boyz plan to debut the group during a live-streamed pay-per-view concert on February 26, 2022, at 9 p.m. CT.
Valenz commented, “I think the cool thing about it is during these COVID times we’ll be able to put on our first show and everybody can watch it from the comfort of their own home. You don’t have to worry about travelin’ or it being canceled. You just got to buy the ticket, click the link, and tune in.”
Tickets for the live-streamed concert are available at the band’s official website, LosLostBoyz.com, where you can also download the debut single, “Nunca Voy A Olvidarte,” watch the docuseries, and purchase merchandise.
