
Conjunto icon Jaime Deanda suffered a medical emergency on Tuesday (Dec. 21) and is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit at a San Antonio hospital, according to his wife and management.
DeAnda’s wife Darlene shared the shocking news via social media. “I am a little emotional right now please forgive me. As a lot of you know, I am married to Jaime DeAnda he is the love of my life, my soulmate. I know he has a lot of fans that love him who he has entertained for years. He loves all of you very much so I feel that I owe it to you the fans to tell you what’s going on. On Tuesday, Jaime suffered a medical emergency and is in ICU. I’m asking everyone to please say a BIG prayer for him. All I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS MY HUSBAND JAIME TO BE HOME.”
DeAnda’s management Envy Road Entertainment LLC issued a statement to Tejano Nation with more details. “On December 21, Jaime Deanda could not breathe on his own due to swelling of his tongue and throat closing on him. Physicians and surgeons put a trachea in him to help him breathe. Jaime DeAnda remains in ICU.”
“We ask for your prayers and thoughts,” the statement added. “Jaime DeAnda has been performing his entire life for his fans.”
