Award-winning singer Crystal Torres has released a new single, “El Amor Que Siento Por Ti,” a song from her highly-anticipated sophomore album.
The San Antonio singer, who won Best New Female Artist at the Tejano Music Awards in 2014, shared details on her latest track with Tejano Nation.
“Essentially it’s talking about this person who just has a love for somebody that it’s bigger than them,” she said. “They’re so happy and head over heels for this person and so it just talks about love, which I think is really needed, especially right now with everything we’re going through.”
“El Amor Que Siento Por Ti” was co-written by Alex Olguin and Eduardo “Yayo” Anguiano, who is currently one of the hottest young songwriters in Tejano. He’s recently penned hits for Siggno, Elida Reyna, Lucky Joe, and Monica Salidvar, to name just a few. The track is produced by Anthony Perez, who is producing Crystal’s long-awaited sophomore album that will feature an array of different sounds.
“There’s definitely a variety that’s going to be on this album,” she said. “We don’t have a title yet, it will definitely be finished before end of year, but we’re really excited just because there’s a whole variety of different sounds on the album and I think people will be pleasantly surprised.”
This album will be the follow-up to Crystal’s debut album, Corazon De Crystal, released in 2013.
“I know it’s been a long time coming and I’m so thankful for fans that are patient,” she said. “They probably thought this chick has dropped off the face of the earth but there’s a lot of things behind the scenes that people don’t necessarily see. It’s been a lot of hard work and a lot of tears but I’m not stopping. It might take a little bit longer but it’s coming.”
“El Amor Que Siento Por Ti” is available at your favorite digital music platform and her sophomore album is scheduled to be released before the end of the year.
