Taking the Puro Party to the next level. Veronique Medrano, the four-time Tejano Music Awards nominee, elevates her art and brand to a more adult audience with the unexpected collaboration and release of her first alcoholic beverage with the 5×5 Brewing Co. (Mission, TX) and Golden City Brewery(Golden, CO) for a Mango-Pineapple Kettle Sour titled “Puro Party Sour.”
With only 200 beers produced in this limited edition batch, it’s released just in time to have that Fiesta vibe right from the comfort of your home.
“I have been working for months on making sure that I can live up to the brand,” says Medrano in regards to her part of the collaboration. “I was given the liberty to choose the concept, name and ultimately design the label. It challenged my creativity in such an exciting way.”

George Rice, co-owner and operator of the Mission, Texas-based 5×5 Brewing Co., said, “She is a woman breaking barriers in Tejano it only felt right to collaborate with her on this brew. We wanted to join the world of Craft Brewery with the Tejano culture. This brew captures a unique flavor and style of beer we’ve never done before.”
The Mango-Pineapple Kettle Sour is currently down to their last 50 bottles since its release on February 14. When asked if there is a possibility to extend the supply, Rice stated, “We want to try and make it available for as many folks as possible, while keeping in mind that a limited amount was made from the start.”
With the success of this batch, both 5×5 Brewing Co. and Veronique Medrano plan on collaborating on more products in the future. For more details on how to get your hands on this special edition brew you can contact 5×5 Brewing Co.
