
Tony Guerrero of La Sombra shared an update on his recent health via social media on Friday (Jun. 21).
The Tejano R.O.O.T.s Hall of Fame singer said he will undergo major surgery Saturday morning to fight infection after he had a setback on his recovery after surgery in February. He went to the emergency room on June 14 after abdominal pain became unbearable.

“I’ve been in the hospital since Friday, I’ve had two surgeries so far,” Guerrero posted on Facebook. “Tomorrow sometime before noon, they will do major surgery again to clean the inside of me to remove all the infection.”
The singer was hospitalized in March after receiving surgery for hernia complications and intestinal problems. Guerrero, who has suffered from intestinal problems since 2007, according to a recent interview.

“I still feel real soreness from it,” Guerrero said about his recent surgery. “I still feel a lot of pain from it. Getting out of bed hurts a lot. Sitting down hurts a lot. I have to watch the way I walk sometimes. It’s like I’m not a 100% back yet.”
