Newcomer Irene Sanchez released her debut single “Que Dios Perdone” on July 30.
The track, written by Joshua Ryan, was produced by Sergio “Chex” Lozano and Frank Lozano of Revo Live Band and Farra Records.
“I feel very passionate about this song, it’s one of my favorites so far out of the ones we have recorded,” Sanchez told Tejano Nation. “It has a very old feeling to it, yet at the same time, a fresh new sound. I hope you enjoy.”
Sanchez, who was a Tejano Idol runner-up in 2016, is a 22-year-old Corpus Christi native and has been singing since she was a little girl.
“Thanks to my tio buying me my first guitar and my Grandma Irene and Grandpa Poncho always playing music around the house,” she said about her musical roots. “I grew up listening to Trios, rancheras, Tejano and mariachi music and my love for music has grown so much over the years.”
“Que Dios Perdone” is available now at all major digital music platforms.
