Michael Salgado gave back to the community this week as his Para Mi Gente Foundation provided Christmas gifts for families in need.
The star handed out gifts with the help of Santa Claus to children on San Antonio’s west side on Tuesday, according to photos and videos posted on Salgado’s official Facebook page.

Salgado’s Para Mi Gente Foundation has provided for many families in need over the past few years, including turkeys during Thanksgiving and many other times throughout the year.
Salgado talked about his foundation and how funds a raised to help those in need.
“It’s been a few years now when it got started, we helped a few families, less fortunate people out there, so I do what I can and the foundation,” he said. “People need to understand when we do photos, they don’t understand, maybe, on the charge of the picture, but all that many goes to help the less fortunate people to try and give the less fortunate kids some toys at Christmas time. It’s definitely a good cause.”
Salgado was recognized for his contributions to the music industry and charitable organizations with a proclamation and resolution at the Texas State Capitol on May 2.
