Tejano radio icon Jonny Ramirez will wake up the Texas Hill Country with a special blend of Tejano and Regional Mexican music as the new morning host at Ranch Radio Group’s La Reina 104.3 and 102.1 FM.

After more than three decades of delivering his eye opening, high energy morning radio show, Ramirez will literally be the driving force for audiences at La Reina.
“Our homegrown show has all the perks of a delicious day — much like that first cup of coffee, followed by the sizzling sound of chorizo, onions and eggs plus the lingering aroma of hot tortillas browning on the comal,” says Ramirez. “Whip’em all together and you’ve got the perfect flavor of breakfast tacos sure to please every Tejano music lover’s appetite.”
Ramirez launches a fresh morning show aimed at retaining La Reina’s existing Regional Mexican audience while introducing them to youthful renditions of today’s Tejano artists and classic hits from Tejano legends.
“We can already feel the excitement of featuring Jonny Ramirez, the wittiest radio host of our time,” said Ranch Radio Group owner and operator Mark Grubbs. “At La Reina (THE QUEEN) we searched for a radio-active KING and are proud to partner with a true champion, with a deep-rooted passion for Tejano music, ready to share his dynasty from our part of Texas.”
Ramirez, a veteran voice on Country and Tejano radio since 1986, rose to legendary status in San Antonio, particularly among Tejano music fans, at KXTN 107.5 as the longest running morning host for 22 years.
La Reina can be heard in the Texas Hill Country at 104.3 FM and 102.1 FM and plans to stream online soon. Learn more about La Reina at the official Facebook page @LaReinaRadio.
