Tejano newcomer Yuli Garcia released her debut single “Ganas De Besarte,” on Sunday (October 16).
The debut single, produced by James Galvez, is a remake of the 1993 hit from Tejano Hall of Famer Shelly Lares.
Yuli was one of the 16 finalists for 2016 Tejano Idol, but dropped out the competition due to a scheduling conflict for the date of event.
“We were so excited that we began production of Yuli’s Single to perform at Tejano Idol,” said Chris Garcia, Yuli’s husband. “A few weeks after we discovered the date of the competition, we realized it overlapped with a wedding Yuli will be the Maid of Honor in. We regret to inform our family, friends and fans that she will not be performing at Tejano Idol.”
“Ganas De Besarte” is the lead single from Yuli’s debut EP entitled Recuerdos Del Ayer, released on October 14, and is available now at all digital retailers.
Yuli is the mother of 9-year-old singer Mia, who released a few singles this past year, including her latest “La Reina Del Mundo” on August 21.
