Eight-year-old singer Mia released a touching video for her second single, “Cuando Los Angeles Lloran” (English: When The Angels Cry), on Monday.

The beautiful and powerful visual, directed and produced by Ryan Bazan, shows the young singer spending time with friends in nature, planting flowers in honor of a family member who has passed away.

“The new single and video has references to nature, children, love, and much more,” Mia’s father Chris Garcia told Tejano Nation. “It pays tribute to her cousin, Samuel Rocha Lopez, who fell victim to the ongoing violence in Mexico at just six years young. Throughout the video you will see his portrait and references to the hashtag #JusticiaParaSamy to bring awareness, along with justice to those who took Samy’s life.”

The track is a cover of the 1995 hit from Mexican rock band Maná, which was nominated for a 1996 Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance.  Three-time Grammy Award nominee Gabriel Zavala produced this version for Mia. The song is available for download from the Tejano Nation Amazon MP3 store, just click here.

Mia is currently working on new music with Grammy Award winning producers and expects to release a special project for Mother’s Day and the next single in mid to late April.
