Anjelique, a 2015 Tejano Music Awards nominee for Best New Female Artist, released the Shelly Lares produced single, “La Otra,” on Monday (February 1).
“Shelly Lares has done tremendous awesome work, very talented person,” Anjelique said in a video posted on her official Facebook page recently. “I’m so glad we chose her and she chose us to work with. I just hope this brings new opportunities and future endeavors. This is not the only song we’ll be releasing that we’re collaborating with her, at least three.”
The track was recorded at San Antonio’s Slack Monster Studios with Severo “Sevy” Contreras of Texas Latino behind the board. The song was co-written by Anjelique and Elias Barrera. Others that worked on the production include West Texas native Jimmy Garcia who helped with the arrangements, Tony Lares with the edgy guitar riffs, and Julio on live percussion.
“Those of you that are Anjelique fans, it’s going to be totally different from her, it’s a totally different Anjelique,” Lares told TejanosBest.com. “It’s 2016 and we got to do it up right. I’m just very honored and pleased to work with artists.”
“La Otra” will be available on CDBABY beginning February 1, 2016, and iTunes, Google Play, Amazon MP3, Spotify, and many other digital distributors, as well as her official website www.anjeliquemusic.com soon.
