Deadline for Tejano Idol online audition submissions is August 31

The deadline to submit an online video audition for the 2015 Tejano Idol competition is August 31, 2015.

The Austin Tejano Music Coalition, the non-profit organization that sponsors Tejano Idol,  is in search of future Tejano Music stars.  The nationwide singing contest has been initiated to highlight Tejano Music and showcase unknown talent.

Amateur singers of all ages are asked send an online video audition via email to Aggie Saldana-Sanchez at aaggie54@yahoo.com, along with an entry form you can download from www.atmc-tejanoidol.com/2015-entry-form.php.

Eliminations for the Top 15 will occur during the second week of September.

The Tejano Idol finale will take place at H&H Ballroom on October 18, 2015, in Austin at 2:00 p.m.  The Tejano Idol winner will be awarded $500 as well as the opportunity to record with Freddie Records in Corpus Christi.

Past Tejano Idol contestants include 2011 winner Ashley Borrero and 2011 contestant Angel Gonzalez, both now with Angel Gonzalez y Grupo Vimana, 2012 runner-up Devin Banda, 2013 contestant Marisa Cortez and 2014 winner Erica Rangel.
