After taking time away from releasing new music, Tejano Music Award winner Di Marie is returning with “Tú y Yo,” a heartfelt single that explores love, forgiveness, second chances and the enduring connections that bring people back together.
The new release marks a fresh chapter in the musical journey of the San Antonio-based Tejano singer, songwriter and vocalist, who continues to build her career while reconnecting with longtime listeners and introducing her music to a new audience.
Written and produced by her brother, David L. Garza, “Tú y Yo” tells the story of two people who overcome past mistakes and the challenges that once stood between them to give their relationship another chance. Through its message of hope and renewed commitment, the song reminds listeners that the past does not have to determine the future and that some relationships are worth fighting for.
For Di Marie, the single represents more than a return to releasing music. It reflects the personal connection she brings to her artistry and the passion behind her continued musical journey.
“Every dream has a story, every song has a piece of your soul, and this one is no exception. I’ve poured my heart into this journey, and I can’t wait for you all to hear,” Di Marie said of the new release.
The collaboration with Garza continues a creative partnership that has contributed to Di Marie’s musical catalog, including songs such as “La Culpable,” “No Llores” and “Déjate Amar.”
Di Marie is also known as the female vocalist for Mike Gonzalez & the Iconiczz and has collaborated with other artists, including Rick Balderrama. Her career includes recognition at the Tejano Music Awards, where she won Best New Female Artist at the 43rd annual ceremony. She previously received a nomination in the same category following the release of her 2015 debut album, Todo de Mi.
With “Tú y Yo,” Di Marie brings a message of reconciliation and perseverance to listeners while opening the door to what comes next in her career. The single offers an opportunity for fans who have followed her journey to reconnect with her music and for new listeners to discover her sound.
“Tú y Yo” is available now on major digital music platforms for streaming and download. The official music video is also available to watch below.
