Tovar performed a 30-minute set on the festival’s BMI Stage, taking the spotlight during a break in an otherwise rainy day at Austin’s Zilker Park. Although the weather had created challenging conditions throughout the day, the rain held off during his performance as a small crowd gathered to hear his music.

He closed the set with “Yellow Roses,” the focus track from his EP of the same name, released by Azteca Ranch Music. The performance turned into a memorable singalong as fans joined Tovar in belting out the song’s chorus, highlighting the growing connection between the track and its listeners.

The ACL Fest appearance followed a hometown performance Saturday night at San Antonio’s La Honky Tonk, where Tovar played to a capacity crowd. The back-to-back shows gave the emerging artist an opportunity to build on his local following while introducing his music to festivalgoers in Austin.

“Yellow Roses” Gains Momentum Across Digital Platforms

Tovar’s latest single continues to gain traction across digital platforms, with fans incorporating the song into their TikTok videos. That growing online enthusiasm carried over to the BMI Stage, where the audience’s participation during the closing number demonstrated the song’s emerging singalong appeal.

The response reflects the potential for “Yellow Roses” to reach listeners beyond Tovar’s hometown as his music continues to find an audience through social media and live performances.

Released through Azteca Ranch Music, the Yellow Roses EP places the title track at the center of Tovar’s current musical momentum, with the song serving as a key introduction to his sound for new listeners.

ACL Fest Provides a Platform for Emerging Artists

Held annually over two weekends at Austin’s Zilker Park, the Austin City Limits Music Festival brings together established and emerging artists representing a wide range of musical genres.

The festival’s BMI Stage highlights talent represented by Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), providing performers with opportunities to reach new audiences in one of Texas’ most prominent live music settings.

For Tovar, the appearance offered a chance to carry the energy of a packed hometown show into a major music festival environment. Closing with “Yellow Roses” and hearing fans sing along provided a fitting finish to a weekend that showcased both his San Antonio following and the growing reach of his latest release.

As “Yellow Roses” continues to circulate across digital platforms, Tovar’s ACL Fest performance marks another step in bringing his music to listeners throughout Texas and beyond.
